I later on lost interest in the game after most of my friends and brother quit the game as we got older. This game took over my youth and I could honestly write an entire paper about it. Players used different types of “Gags” to fight such as pie’s, squirt guns, falling anvils, cakes and more. The game was about working with other players to defeat “Cogs” which were robots that were trying to take of the world of ToonTown. The game was different from the usual MMO as it was directed and marketed towards children. I absolutely loved this game and made a ton of friends while playing it, some of which I still speak to today from time to time.

This enjoyment of the genre started in around 3rd or 4th grade when I began playing the game known as Disney’s ToonTown Online which was ironically created by Jesse Schell, the author of our textbook. Throughout my gaming career I’ve also found myself playing many different MMO’s. It’s easy to say that CS is one of my most played games of all time. This amount of money is determined by a couple of factors such as kills, assists and winning rounds.

If you’re unaware, the way this system works is that at the beginning of every round you have an amount of money you can spend on weapons and armor. The economy system that Counter Strike has developed is another factor. Counter Strike always seemed to bring me back because of the amount of skill required to play the game at an even decent level (It’s kinda sad how bad I am at the game despite the hours I’ve put into it). I spent an insane amount of time playing this game along with its’ sequel which came out within the last couple of years, Counter Strike: Global Offensive. As I got older I later discovered what would eventually take over many nights of my life, Counter Strike: Source.

We spent countless hours playing free for all on Temple (Oddjob was obviously banned from usage). These games ranged from FPS’s, (MMO)RPG’s, and fighting games.įrom the earliest I could remember, I had always been playing GoldenEye 64 with my brother and cousins. Over the years I have played many different games across many different genre’s. Hey guys my name is Andrew Still and I’m a senior in IST Design and Development.
